Charting a path to more purposeful choices and the discovery of new possibilities.

LauraLee embraces life. She loves sports, spending time with family, reading and meditating.

With a background in education, she found fulfillment in her role as a reading interventionist for young children. She sensed something was wrong when she began struggling to remember her students’ names. With a family history of Alzheimer’s, anxiety set in. She decided to seek answers, and after a series of tests she was diagnosed with the earlier stages of Alzheimer’s disease.

The news was truly devastating. But her diagnosis also spurred a shift in perspective.

“I would urge anybody to get tested immediately. Don’t put it off because, you’re just going to get more and more inside your head if you put it off asking, do I have it? Don’t I have it? Just get tested.”

She realized that knowing early gave her a chance to make conscious choices for her future. Each day became an opportunity to engage and grow.

“I have this natural path. I’m walking on it, and everything’s coming towards me.”
